Our format for the study will be weekly readings from theologians who have deeply considered forgiveness from a variety of perspectives, then gathering in small groups for guided discussion. Our aim will be to offer a safe place where participants can hear God's voice speak to them.

For many older adults, there is a great longing to come closer to God and to walk more deeply and intently the spiritual journey they have been on all their lives. These are the years when older adults have the time to look deeply at their relationship with God, to finally live into all that God is calling them to become, and to see these years as blessings rather than burdens.

Older adults long for community and companionship on their spiritual journeys, and that has certainly been heightened by the COVID pandemic. Again and again, participants told us it was the small-group discussions, the opportunity to talk with others of their own age about their spirituality, that drew them together.
